Three offensive skill players topped the list of who to watch on the first day of training camp on the fields adjacent to Paul Brown Stadium.
Tyler Eifert (back), John Ross (shoulder) and Giovani Bernard (ACL) all were cleared and made their first appearance since offseason surgeries.
Eifert Cincinnati Bengals Jerseys participated fully and said he’s been 100 percent for more than a month. John Ross was limited, but still made his Bengals debut in a helmet. Both were feel-good, optimistic recovery stories.
They paled in comparison to Bernard. The 25-year-old running back jumped in and out of cuts, accelerated past defenders and looked nothing like a player who tore his ACL and underwent surgery eight months prior.
“I think on one of the plays, I maybe made too many cuts,” said Bernard, who took part in every element of practice. “One of those things I wanted to do it to see how it felt. Trust me, I’ve made so many jump cuts this entire rehab process, I have done so Cheap Jerseys many different crazy things. I knew I was prepared for this the entire time and I know I’m ready for the season to start.”
Bernard tore his right ACL his freshman season at North Carolina. Understanding the process helped his mentality in conquering the left ACL. He jokes he now has two bionic knees and expressed endless gratitude to director of rehab Nick Cosgray for pushing him through.
“I felt good Cheap nfl Jerseys really early in this entire process,” said Bernard, who opted not to speak to the media this offseason until he was fully back. “One of those things you want to keep building on every step. Today was fun to be out there with the guys. That whole camaraderie. (Strength and conditioning coach Chip Morton) let me break down the group in the beginning of practice, which meant a lot to me. Probably didn’t seem like that much of a thing, but for me to be able to come back and do that meant the world to me.”
Eifert Customized Jerseys enjoyed his own moments of showing off his health, including when he drew oohs and aahs from the crowd after shaking safety Clayton Fejedelem in a one-on-one drill.
Being on the field and cleared was no surprise for Eifert, either. He was just mad his time was wasted needing the doctor to tell him he was good for full participation in the camp.
